Participants will identify ways to foster safety, mutual support and empowerment of participants in a group, as well as draw upon clinical-based exercises to integrate a deeper comprehension of group dynamics, tools, and purposeful activities for effective facilitation. Awareness and skill in addressing the dynamics of oppression (racism, sexism, homophobia, etc.) that may present in interactions among participants and with the facilitator will also be studied.
