Wayne Barnstone, LCSW is our guide through this comprehensive webinar that will explore the evolution of dreamwork in psychotherapy. Providing participants with a deeper grasp of its historical and theoretical foundations, We’ll explore a variety of methods and tools, learning to effectively utilize dreams in therapeutic practice settings. Participants will enjoy a nuanced comprehension of the therapeutic potential of dreams and be equipped with tools to help integrate dreamwork into their sessions.
Wayne Barnstone, LCSW, is in private practice and serves as an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health at George Washington Medical School. He is a past Fellow at the Institute of Contemporary Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis. He completed three years of study at the Metropolitan Institute of Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy in New York City. Prior to these positions, Wayne worked at the Pederson Krag/New Horizon’s Counseling Center in Smithtown, New York. His roles included Assistant/Co-Director of this 700-patient outpatient mental health clinic. He supervised clinical staff, carried a caseload of patients, trained and supervised new therapists as well as social work interns and conducted didactic presentations on various clinical topics. Before becoming a psychotherapist, Wayne worked on Wall Street in international finance including as Chief Investment Officer for a $3billion portfolio in Asia. This experience involved extensive business trips to East Asia, Southeast Asia, and Europe.
