Join therapist Stephanie Jackman, LCSW, MS, for an honest conversation about Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) in youth and young adults. Participants will explore and identify ways to differentiate between PTSD and other mood disorders, examine changes within the DSM-V related to PTSD and children, as well as look at effective assessment tools used for PTSD.
Stephanie Jackman, LCSW, MS is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of experience in children and family services and mental health. She completed her baccalaureate degree in Sociology at the State University of New York College at Buffalo. She went on to earn a Master of Social Work degree from Roberts Wesleyan College. Furthering her education and knowledge base, she earned an additional Master of Human Development degree from the University of Rochester.
Stephanie is a native of Rochester, New York where she currently is in Private Practice and serves as a Mental Health Consultant providing consultation, program development and implementation trainings to local and federal government agencies, educational institutions, faith-based organizations and human service agencies.
She is an avid supporter of up and coming social work professionals and mental health practitioners; providing mentoring and sponsorship. She desires to empower individuals and families to cope with life stressors through a mental, physical and spiritual system of care.
