Explore what being vulnerable has to offer with Miriam Beigelman, MA, LCSW! Participants will study vulnerability and its therapeutic properties as a means for client growth, strategies surrounding the use of vulnerability to strengthen and enhance relationships in familial as well as social settings, and its role in the therapeutic alliance. We’ll also examine common myths and misconceptions, including social or cultural constructs around vulnerability, and how its avoidance may hinder resulting client growth or related positive outcomes.

 

Miriam Beigelman, MA; LCSW, has been working in the mental health field for almost twenty years. She holds both a Master’s in School Psychology as well as a license in Social Work. Currently, she teaches Psychology subjects for the City University of New York and provides counseling in a mental health clinic, primarily with adolescents and adults. In her spare time, Miriam enjoys writing about mental health topics as well as other inspirational ideas.
