COVID-19 has presented clients and over-stressed support systems with challenges on many fronts. Deborah Levinson, LCSW brings participants from recognizing the profound loss to designing and thriving within a “New Normal”. Participants will gain and share insights surrounding trauma, ego shock, and the mental health implication of major loss both personally and in the social environment.

 

Deborah S. Levinson, LCSW is a practicing psychotherapist, trained at Johns Hopkins University, and has published research on how people mourn and create a new chapters in their lives following major loss. Mrs. Levinson has presented in a variety of venues across the United States, including Jewish Family Services Santa Barbara, CA, New York Clinical Social Work Society, Greater Washington Clinical Social Work Society, Psychiatric Institute, Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, New York, Johns Hopkins, and U.S. Secret Service Employee Assistance. Mrs. Levinson has also served as an adjunct lecturer at Santa Barbara City College.
