Join Dara Barlin, MA, on an adventure through new and exciting research with a groundbreaking curriculum designed to heal political division and bring communities together. Participants will explore the visceral/biological aspects of conflict, gain skills to instantly find common ground with even the most opposing points of view, and steps to promote human connection above all. Building trust and empathy one relationship at a time… you’re sure to find this journey with Dara full of insight and surprises!

Dara Barlin has spent 20+ years as a researcher, policy advisor, and global organizer seeking to improve outcomes for underserved communities. Recently she discovered a technique that radically accelerates the rate at which positive change can take place – it’s called 360 empathy. Over the past five years, Dara has fine-tuned her knowledge of 360 empathy and applied it to multiple contexts, helping nonprofits and government agencies transform their culture, create more kindness, and improve outcomes. Dara’s written a book about large-scale reform in education, and her research has been featured in a number of venues including the United Nations, U.S. Senate, Harvard Education Letter, The Guardian, London Times, and several other outlets. Her research supported Barack Obama in getting elected during his first presidential election campaign. In 2012, Dara led a global project across 97 countries to build trust and develop a common blueprint for positive change. Dara has a Masters with honors in Public Policy from the London School of Economics, and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Barnard College.
