Join Becky Haendel, MA as she shares her insights around the concept of acculturation and its impact on mental health. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of the impact of acculturation on identity and navigating cross-cultural differences in the therapeutic relationship.

 

Becky Haendel, MA is an accomplished researcher and presenter excited to share her passion for education surrounding the experiences of individuals and families seeking to establish new homes in new communities through immigration. Earning her degree in Psychology and Urban Studies at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, followed by her graduate degree in Clinical Psychology at Hebrew University, and recipient of the Klausner scholarship for new immigrants, Becky’s dynamic experience in the field includes work and study at the Maytiv Center for research and practice in Positive Psychology, Dr. Jonathan Huppert’s laboratory for the study and treatment of anxiety, and Dr. Seligman’s Positive Psychology Lab in Philadelphia, as well as study at the University of Melbourne, Australia.
