Join Deborah Levinson,LCSW as we examine the changing cultural landscape and corresponding reevaluation of the values that shape our lives. Participants will explore ethical insights surrounding adjustment, manifestations of ambiguous loss, layers of grief, as well as navigating the resulting strain on family and interpersonal relationships when conflicting individual judgements and actions may not align, as well as maintaining cognizance of associated counter-transference in the therapeutic relationship.

 

Deborah S. Levinson, LCSW is a practicing psychotherapist, trained at Johns Hopkins University, and has published research on how people mourn and create a new chapters in their lives following major loss. Mrs. Levinson has presented in a variety of venues across the United States, including Jewish Family Services Santa Barbara, CA, New York Clinical Social Work Society, Greater Washington Clinical Social Work Society, Psychiatric Institute, Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, New York, Johns Hopkins, and U.S. Secret Service Employee Assistance. Mrs. Levinson has also served as an adjunct lecturer at Santa Barbara City College.

CE You LLC #1573 is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved as ACE providers. State and provincial regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether an individual course may be accepted for continuing education credit. CE You LLC maintains responsibility for this course. ACE provider approval period 3/27/20 – 3/27/21. Social workers completing this course receive 2 continuing education credits.
