Presenter: Michael Dahnke,PhD
Join recognized Bioethicist and Philosophy professor Michael Dahnke, PhD on a fascinating journey through philosophical logic to the very core of human and professional ethics. Participants will explore the basis of ethical decision making, analyze the NASW Code of Ethics and develop a deeper, practical comprehension applying this understanding to real and hypothetical cases.
Dr. Dahnke brings a unique, thought provoking and interactive approach as a university lecturer (CUNY) as well as through his noted publications and academic works on the ethics surrounding client confidentiality and autonomy, duty to warn, and social justice. This workshop is sure to deepen your appreciation of the decision making process, and offer thinking strategies to help clients better understand and connect with their values systems.

Stigma: The Courage to Take Action

Presenter: Miriam Malowitzky, MA, LMSW
Navigate the social and psychological phenomena surrounding mental health and stigma with presenter Miriam Malowitzky, MA, LMSW. Attendees will explore the effects of social stigma that may hinder client engagement and receptivity; cultivating family support and education to counteract the effects of negative stigmatization, and address common myths and realities as they relate to stigma and mental health.
Miriam Malowitzky has been working in the mental health field for almost twenty years. She holds both a Master’s in School Psychology as well as a license in Social Work.
Full Day Seminar includes two excellent classes, a total of 6 CE Contact Hours. Refreshments (healthy and not-so healthy) are served. Full seminar only $119.00. One session alone is $75.00
