Motherhood and More: An Honest Look at Postpartum Depression

Together with Author and Lecturer Erica Komisar, LCSW, we delve into the science of Motherhood and Postpartum Depression. From attachment and bonding to the importance of being present, attendees will examine the contemporary social landscape as it relates to new parents, the values and cultural norms often communicated surrounding motherhood, as well as neuroscience based research outlining the imperative nature of removing barriers that hinder parental availability and helping clients find the resources they need to navigate the ever increasing complexities of modern parenthood.

Join Kori Grillo, LCSW as we delve into the riveting and complex nuances of Emotional Intelligence. Participants will review contemporary research and viewpoints, gain insight surrounding the foundation of Emotional Intelligence, and learn ways to identify and cultivate Emotional Intelligence to help promote client growth through improved understanding and communication.

Beyond Skin Deep: The Hidden Dynamics of Self-Harm and “Cutting”

Renowned author, educator and practicing therapist Steven Levenkron, LMHC, examines the behavioral complexities and underlying psychology behind cutting and related self injury. Practitioners will explore variances in presentation and warning signs, sociological components and risk factors, along with strategies to address cutting behaviors within the therapeutic process.
