Deborah Levinson, LCSW takes participants on a journey through the adjustment process following the loss of a spouse or life partner. Attendees will gain deeper comprehension surrounding the loss of an anchor, the impact on relationship quality, stages of adjustment, and the growth process, as well as variables for practitioners to consider including gender and age at the time of loss, and application of treatment models.
Deborah S. Levinson, LCSW is a practicing psychotherapist, trained at Johns Hopkins University, and has published research on how people mourn and create a new chapters in their lives following major loss. Mrs. Levinson has presented in a variety of venues across the United States, including Jewish Family Services Santa Barbara, CA, New York Clinical Social Work Society, Greater Washington Clinical Social Work Society, Psychiatric Institute, Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, New York, Johns Hopkins, and U.S. Secret Service Employee Assistance. Mrs. Levinson has also served as an adjunct lecturer at Santa Barbara City College.
