Alexa Donnelly, LCSW is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with many years of experience in the disabilities field. Through her education and internship she has also gained experience with under-privileged minority youth and male offenders of domestic violence. Alexa had the unique opportunity to be the first intern in Staten Island’s first male offender program. She began as a direct support professional working with what was considered to be “difficult” cases. She practices very individualistic and personalized planning to assist people with disabilities to enhance their skills and achieve their goals. Alexa lives by the phrase “be the change you want to see in the world”. Although she knows that she cannot change the world overnight she is determined to change lives one person at a time. Alexa is committed to cultivating a positive learning experience and empowering environment for people with disabilities throughout the spectrum. She is always looking for creative and innovative ways to create lasting inclusive relationships to build supportive environments. She is determined to help others get a fair chance by opening her mind to learning and understanding what supports someone may need and what barriers they may face to achieving their goals.

Nicole DelPrete is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) with many years of experience supporting people with developmental disabilities. Nicole is currently the Division Director of Support Services at Person Centered Care Services (PCCS), a non-profit organization creating social change within communities by supporting people with disabilities on their search for identity and acceptance. She oversees traditional programming, and develops strategies for overall program and professional development. In addition to her non-profit experience, she is an Adjunct Professor at the College of Staten Island (CSI) within the social work department where she also received her Master of Social Work (MSW) degree with a specific concentration on disability studies and macro practice. Nicole’s macro background also includes work in developing policies, advocacy, ethical standards, enhancing leadership skills, community outreach, facilitating a variety of different trainings, and effective supervision. Nicole utilizes the person centered approach while working with people as she finds it important to meet the unique needs of each person. She is determined to eliminate the social barriers which limit people with disabilities throughout her work.
