This Two Day Seminar, which meets the requirement for Maryland Supervisor Certification training, is also a great way for current supervisors and managers to improve their leadership and Management skills. Participants earn a total of 12 Category I CEUs. Refreshments (healthy and not-so healthy) are served throughout the day. The cost of this seminar is only $199. (This is probably the lowest priced supervision certification training that you will find in Maryland.)
Each Day training will take place from 10:00am-4:45pm with a 45 minute lunch break.

Seminar Overview
This interactive 12 hour training is designed to meet the training requirement for social workers applying for Maryland State Certification as a supervisor and for supervisors looking to hone their skills. We will look at effective methods of supervision as well as the Maryland state requirements and expectations for supervisors. This class will provide an overview of the basic skills and resources necessary for effective general supervision.
We will examine the role, function, and characteristics of an effective supervisor and learn the basics of personnel management. Attendees will take a look at some of the best identified management practices. We will explore the supervisor’s role as leader and as negotiator between senior management and direct staff. Participants will come to understand what traits and skills are necessary for effective management and leadership.
